City of Middletown

All trash and recycling must be contained in a Republic receptacle and at the curb by 6 am of your scheduled pickup.

Middletown residential trash pickup is every Monday or Tuesday morning depending on where you live in the city. Click here to see a map of Middletown with the collection areas highlighted.

Middletown residential recycling is every other week on Thursday morning.

Middletown residential yard waste is every Wednesday morning.

If the week has a national holiday, the pickup date is pushed back one day for that week.

No more than 15 bundles or two cans of yard waste may be collected per service day. Limbs must be cut into 4ft length and less than 5in diameter. No bundle or can shall weigh over 50 pounds. Christmas trees over 7ft must be cut in half.

Yard waste stickers are available upon request.

Large Items

If you have a large item to dispose of such as a mattress or couch, you must call Republic Services at 502-638-9000 to schedule the pickup. You must place all mattresses and cloth furniture in plastic bags or wrap it in plastic.
